Ngala Early Learning Claremont

Ngala Early Learning Claremont is a stunning purpose-built facility nestled in the heart of Claremont, overlooking the Claremont Oval. Our state-of-the-art classrooms are designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, featuring abundant natural light and spacious, airy environments.

Central to our philosophy is the recognition of the importance of small learning communities for children. With this understanding, we have structured our service to facilitate smaller classroom sizes, fostering strong child-educator relationships and creating an intimate learning atmosphere.

We value our children’s participation within their local community. As part of our regular program, you’ll often find us engaging in various activities throughout the week, whether it’s purchasing fresh produce at our neighbourhood IGA, enjoying a friendly game of football at Claremont Oval, or enjoying community walks to our nearby parks.

Situated within the Queenslea Aged Care Residence grounds, our location provides a unique opportunity for intergenerational connections. Through our intergenerational program, Claremont children and families engage in meaningful interactions with our elderly neighbours, fostering relationships that transcend generations and laying the groundwork for lifelong friendships.

We invite you and your family to experience the warmth and vibrancy of Ngala Early Learning Claremont firsthand.

Reach out to us today to schedule a visit—we’d be delighted to show you around and discuss how we can support your child’s growth and development.

Rebecca Lucy
Centre Coordinator

My name is Rebecca, and I am the Centre Coordinator at Ngala Claremont.

I started my career in Early Childhood Education over 13 years ago when I commenced my studies. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching in 2013 and have over 10 years’ experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher.

I have worked at Ngala since 2017 and have worked in various roles such as Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, Assistant Coordinator and currently Coordinator.

I am passionate about play based learning to build the foundations of lifelong skills for all children. I value utilising the environment as the third teacher, with a huge emphasis on the value of outdoor exploration where children can guide their learning through a hands-on approach.

I believe that providing children with open ended experiences, helps to support their learning holistically as imaginative play is so important in the early years.

I look forward to building relationships with all families at Ngala Claremont, continuing to lead and inspire passionate educators whilst furthering my knowledge and development in Early Childhood Education.

Bringing Generations Together in Claremont

Our unique intergenerational program is exclusive to our Claremont early learning centre. The program, delivered in partnership with our neighbours The Queenslea Aged Care Residence, brings our students together with residents to enjoy group activities and shared experiences, building the foundations for life-long friendships.

Our intergenerational program takes an evidence-based approach to enhancing the overall well-being of all participants, providing enormous benefit to the social and emotional development of young children. Our students learn from seniors’ life experience and knowledge, while also learning to interact with care, empathy and respect for others.
